SAMTECH is founded in 1986 to develop the finite element software used since the seventies by the European aerospatial industry. SAMTECH has grown in West Europa, China and South America via a subsidiaries and distributors network. SAMTECH France SA is itself a 100% subsidiary of SAMTECH.
The head office of SAMTECH group is at Liege (Belgium).
The SAMTECH group is organized in 3 branches which employ approximately 240 engineers:
SAMTECH to develop and market the softwares BOSS-Quattro (optimisation), SAMCEF_Field (Pré and post treatments), SAMCEF (linear and non linear analysis in thermo mechanical behaviour), EuroPlexus (explicit non linear dynamics in collaboration with CEA), CAESAM (CAE multi-disciplinary framework)
OPEN ENGINEERING to develop multiphysical analysis in CAE, considering the combination of thermal, mechanical, acoustical, vibration, fluid, piezoelectrical aspects.
GDTECH ENGINEERING which offers a global solution in engineeering around the activities mixing multiphysical simulation, tests and so on to cover all the activities of development of a new product
Samtech Group and TER@TEC
The activities of the group require more and more the access to big powers of calculation, whether it is to develop and test new algorithms or formulations implemented in SAMCEF or to have access to the other possibilities (others softwares and more powerful hardwares) which prescribe the principals The membership of SAMTECH to TER@TEC in 2009 shows the will of the European group to develop its activities HPC in association with partners of any size by making, in a firm way, the preoccupations of SMEs listen.
Besides, SAMTECH group is strongly implied in numerous projects and with numerous partners linked to the European pole of competency in high performance for numerical simulation.
IOLS (leader CS)
EHPOC (leader CS)
CSDL (leader Dassault Aviation)
MIEL (leader SAMTECH France)
The group SAMTECH also promotes the platform TER@TEC within projects with the poles ASTECH and Aerospace Valley (MOSART project)
