Intel® Omni-Path Architecture: The Path To Exascale

Abstract :  Intel® Omni-Path Architecture (Intel® OPA), an element of Intel® Scalable System Framework, delivers the performance for tomorrow’s high performance computing workloads and the ability to scale to tens of thousands of nodes. This session will explore the underlying technology, share real world performance measurements and discuss the value proposition. Intel® will share insight into the Scalable System Framework initiative, highlighting the role of Intel® OPA as we move towards Exascale.

Bio : John is a HPC expert in Intel’s Data Center Group Sales team focused on solution design, validation and implementation of HPC environments containing Intel Omni-Path Architecture technology. John joined Intel 5 years ago as part of the QLogic True Scale InfiniBand acquisition and has held several technical roles covering HPC fabric technology and architecture. Previously, John spent 10 years at Sun Microsystems and then Oracle, as an HPC integration engineer and technical consultant. He holds a degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from Edinburgh University.
