Workshop 6 - Wednesday, June 28, from 14h00 to 17h30
Big Data for materials sciences

Applications of modelling in the steel industry
Astrid PERLADE, Research engineer, ARCELORMITTAL Maizières Research and Development

Abstract : Coming soon

Biography : Astrid PERLADE, 43 years old, is the manager of the Research group on “Metallurgy and thermo-mechanical treatments” (since 2011) in ArcelorMittal R&D. Graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris (1998), she obtained her PhD in Material Science and Engineering from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris (2001). She was formerly a research engineer at ArcelorMittal R&D, Maizières Automotive Products Center (2001-2010).

She is author and co-author of 29 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and 8 published patents. Among her activities, she has been involved in the development and industrialization of "on-line" software for predicting the microstructural and mechanical properties of hot plates. She currently contributes to a large project dedicated to “computer-assisted metallurgy”, aiming at modeling the physical links between microstructures and mechanical properties:

She was awarded the Prix Jean Rist in 2016 and Prix Jean Morlet in 2014 (SF2M).
