Algorithms and Deep Learning, new paradigms and challenges?

Machine Learning algorithms in a Darwinian perspective
Benoit PELLETIER, Technical Product Owner in BigData / HPC convergence, ATOS

Summary :  Machine Learning algorithms are rapidly expanding, especially those related to Deep Learning techniques. However, they are created and developed mainly in certain areas of the world, where digital platforms are built to enable the accumulation of data and algorithms. In this presentation, we will discuss the continuous process of innovation, selection and capitalization that takes place in these platforms, which we will consider from a Darwinian perspective. Faced with this challenge, we will suggest paths of evolution for the HPC in Europe.

Biography : Benoit Pelletier obtained his degree in computer science from INSA Rennes in France. He worked in different areas of computer science, distributed systems, cloud, IoT and big data. Nowadays, he is part of the R&D department of ATOS BigData Security division as technical product owner. He is in charge of the development of different products in the fields of Big data & HPC convergence, artificial intelligence and computer vision;
