The field of high-performance computing is going through a period of major change, with two objectives: to adapt to the technological breakthroughs of the past decade (massively parallel and/or heterogeneous architectures, end of Moore’s law, etc.); and to respond to data analysis requirements. For scientists, that means new software tools and a wider variety of programming languages. This workshop reviewed some new software tools for numerical computation.
