Blockchain: energy transformed

Abstract : This presentation will expose a standpoint on blockchain in the area of energy. Since 2015 blockchain and its use in energy have been at the centre of tremendous buzz. Proof of concept developments will be presented; concepts are emerging, numerous hackatons are taking place… What is the meaning of this momentum, and its implications for energy? Research topics will eventually be identified.

Biography : Gilles Deleuze is project manager and senior researcher at EDF R&D, Industrial Risk Division. He currently works in two domain: risk analysis and assessment for various projects and technologies (nuclear energy, gas turbines, energy distribution, digital innovation…); modelling of control and monitoring systems for nuclear safety assessment. He previously worked with THALES in the area of the reliability of electronic components and systems for space, avionics and defense equipment. Born in 1964, he holds an engineer degree from ENSTA l'ENSTA (École Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées, 1986 - marine environment ,nuclear engineering) and a DESS (Masters degree) in Innovation Management (Paris IX University, 1987).
