Chaired by Philippe Bricard, CEO, UCit

Inria Academy, training at the highest DEEP-TECH level
By David Simplot, Directeur Inria Academy, Inria

Did you know that today Inria's assets - the French national institute for research in digital science and technology - include nearly 1,500 software products produced by its research groups? Some of this software, made available to developers and companies in an Open Science approach, is among the most proven in major fields related to the economy, health, education, software security, and machine learning.

To ensure that companies have access to digital technologies and to support engineers and technical managers in acquiring new knowledge, the Institute launched the Inria Academy in 2020, a facility dedicated to continuing education in digital technologies, and more specifically in open source software. The training modules, from beginner to expert level, are delivered by the scientists of the institute who are at the heart of the development of these software.

During this workshop, we will present training courses on 5 of Inria's flagship software products, recognized for their performance at the international level:

  • Scikit-learn: the machine learning toolbox
  • SOFA : multi-body simulation engine, widely used in the medical and robotics world
  • RIOT : OS adapted to the Internet of Things
  • Pharo: advanced object-oriented programming based on a pure, reflexive, dynamic object language, leading to a rethinking of the essential points of programming
  • Coq : proof by software.

We will allow you to evaluate the relevance and uniqueness of Inria Academy's offer through presentations by the scientific designers of these software programs as well as testimonials from company engineers who have improved their skills and acquired, with the help of our training courses, an expertise that is essential to their professional projects.
